We cannot do it without your help.
QSO is an independent arts company and our team of
dedicated professionals relishes the opportunity to share fabulous music with
the community. We gratefully receive
funding assistance from all levels of government, but we do rely on your
support and patronage in the Concert hall, as well as generous gifts to our
philanthropic programs to enable us to continue to grow and expand our artistic
and community initiatives.
QSO directly engages over 100,000 Queenslanders in
live performances annually and directly connects with:
- over 6000 primary and secondary students in education concerts
- over 6500 toddlers in kiddies 'cushion concerts'
- up to 20 tertiary students in performance internships
- over 3700 people in regional communities
- 506,000 people through free-to-air national radio broadcasts
- State and national opera and ballet companies in over 60 performances
- over 10 touring international musical and ballet acts through commercial hires of the orchestra.
Maintaining a symphony orchestra is a significant
challenge and would not be possible without the generous support of QSO's
philanthropic donors.
