Mackay Entertainment Centre

Location

The MECC is located in the heart of Mackay and is just a short stroll away from a plethora of City Centre restaurants, an award-winning Regional art gallery, hotels, a Library, shopping precincts and our magnificent blue water Pioneer River.

Walking/Bike/Bus

The Centre is easily accessible via foot, car, bike or bus.

Taxi

The Centre is approximately 10 minutes via car or taxi from the Mackay Airport.

Train

Queensland Railways' Tilt Train and Sunlander services stop at Mackay daily from Brisbane and Cairns via coastal cities.

Bus

Located on the Bruce Highway, access via road to Mackay is easy. Inland access is provided from Emerald in the Central Queensland Highlands through to Clermont and the Peak Downs Highway. Express coach services of Greyhound, McCafferty and Premier operate along the coastal highway.

Parking

The Centre has a designated car park that can be accessed via Alfred Street. Ample street parking is also available in nearby streets.

Centre patrons must be aware that on street parking includes a mix of restricted and non-restricted parking. Please check sign conditions for the duration of your stay.

Secure parking compounds are also available within five and ten minute walks to the Centre entrance.

Special Needs Access

Two designated disabled parking zones are provided directly on Alfred St. Additional disabled parking is also available on surrounding streets.
