Jeremy Kleeman

A graduate of Victorian Opera’s Developing Artist Program and of Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, Jeremy Kleeman has also been a Melba Opera Trust Scholar, and is a the recipient of the Dame Heather Begg Award.

Recent engagements include appearances with Victorian Opera as Walter Furst (William Tell), Albert (The Magic Pudding), Collatinus (The Rape of Lucretia) at the Dark Mofo festival, Lord Valton (I puritani), Jonas Fogg (Sweeney Todd), Mother (Kurt Weill's Seven Deadly Sins), and Badger and Parson (The Cunning Little Vixen); Toby Raven in Cloudstreet (George Palmer) for State Opera of South Australia; the title role in The Marriage of Figaro with Opera Australia Touring; Familiari III and Tribuno in The Coronation of Poppea for Pinchgut Opera; Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas with Ludovico’s Band; Nielsen Symphony No.3 with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra; St Matthew Passion, St John Passion with Melbourne Bach Choir, Handel's Susanna for Canberra's Handel in the Theatre and Messiah with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

Jeremy’s engagements in 2019 include recitals for Music Viva, St John Passion at Canberra International Music Festival, and the Opera Gala concert with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra. He will also feature in Elliott Gyger's Oscar and Lucinda with Sydney Chamber Opera, and present a lieder recital at the Northern Lights Festival in Trømso, Norway.
