Irit Silver

Described in The Australian as having a 'gorgeous, burnished clarinet tone', Irit Silver is Section Principal Clarinet with Queensland Symphony Orchestra since 2007.

She completed a Bachelor of Music Performance degree in 2004 at the Victorian College of the Arts, studying with Robert Schubert and Craig Hill. In 2005, she completed the Advanced Performance
course at the Australian National Academy of Music. In 2006 Irit was the holder of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Fellowship and in 2009 was a Churchill Fellow. She appears regularly at the Stradbroke Chamber Music Festival. She has appeared as guest principal with the Australian World Orchestra, Malaysia Philharmonic, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Auckland Philharmonic, and many major Australian orchestras. She has performed as soloist with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Auckland Philharmonic. Irit is a D’Addario artist.
