Symphony Under the Stars - Gladstone image

As stars begin to dot the sky over the marina a buzz of anticipation fills the air. The orchestra take to the stage and breathtaking music begins…

Experience a magical night under the stars with Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Don’t miss your opportunity to hear world class musicians live on stage, in the heart of Gladstone

Bring your family and friends for an unforgettable night, showcasing a wide variety of music, from the enchanting Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, to John Williams’ beloved Harry Potter, and Stravinsky’s radiant Firebird Suite will erupt with a kaleidoscope of orchestral colour. At the heart of this concert is Peter Sculthorpe’s Kakadu – a vivid reflection on the changing of the seasons. Digeridoo virtuoso William Barton will breathe rhythm and life into this now iconic Australian work.

This is not a night to be missed.

''In his own words, Barton wants to “take the oldest culture in the world and blend it with Europe’s rich musical legacy”. And when you see him on stage, the atmosphere truly is electric.''
