We have too many to enumerate and they are too varied to play favourites. Many works of the classical spectrum bring us joy but there is a special thrill in being presented with an unfamiliar work, often a new work by an unfamiliar composer that extends our “favourites” list!

Let’s count the ways. QSO is a long-established pillar of musical, cultural and educational life in Queensland - not just Brisbane. Its influence is not restricted to our capital but extends to the far-flung corners of our vast state.

QSO provides secure and stimulating futures in a nurturing environment to a diverse group of talented and enthusiastic artists. It is not so long ago that any Queenslander wishing to pursue an artistic career, had to leave the state to do so.

Queensland has the luxury of not only having a world class orchestra but a most stimulating, convivial and lively one. QSO also fosters cross-cultural links with many allied artistic organisations. Dance, opera and screen are a few examples.

Go for it!

From the outside QSO seems like a large - even daunting - organisation requiring complex management and a large budget. It may seem that any donation is a drop in a large bucket.

But, all donations have an impact and give more scope to expand and vary activities, bringing more returns to Queenslanders.

Supporters are granted a closer association with performers such as attending rehearsals and special performances. A much more satisfying return is the chance to enter the world of a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated people who enrich your own life in so many ways. We could not recommend involvement strongly enough!
