Music Chair Program

Music Chair Program

#Show your love for the Orchestra through the Music Chair program.

This program helps Queensland Symphony Orchestra with the enormous cost of maintaining a full time orchestra, attracting musicians of the highest calibre and providing Queenslanders with the opportunity to experience world class music, at home.

“I feel privileged and incredibly fortunate to be the Concertmaster for QSO. It’s an incredibly humbling and inspiring environment to be working in because every single person in the orchestra is an expert on their instrument and in their field. We work together for a single common goal which is ultimately to present the best performance every time. There’s no better experience than feeling and playing as one!”
Natsuko Yoshimoto, Concertmaster

“It helps establish a special rapport and relationship with our audiences, it makes it personal, we hear their views and learn about their life rather than it being all about us on stage. I enjoy looking over at the end of a performance to my supporters, Graham and Kate, to gauge their reaction and hopefully to receive a thumbs up! The program is really important to us as musicians.”
Kathryn Close, Cello

Music Chair supporters receive personal updates from the musicians, invitations to a range of events, open rehearsals and digital events throughout the year. Supporters are acknowledged in concert programs, the website and the Orchestra’s Season Brochure.

It has never been more important to support our musicians.
