Health & Wellbeing Program
Music is powerful – we are committed to providing Queensland's communities with hope, health and happiness through music.

Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s Health and Wellbeing Program was launched in 2021 to provide hope, health and happiness in Queensland’s communities through music.
The Program is formed by:
- bespoke QSO studio performances for people with disability, people living in aged care, people living with neurodegenerative disease, and vulnerable members of our community (at no cost to the audience)
- small ensemble performances in aged care homes, hospitals and special schools.
We have partnered with Griffith University to help document the wide range of health and wellbeing benefits that can arise from participating in music. You can read our existing literature below.
Health & Wellbeing Program Key Objectives
Develop a meaningful platform to promote health and wellbeing through music in Queensland.
Develop a strong case for support through research (applied research, methodology and evaluation).
Build relationships with stakeholders who are leaders in this area.
