Ella Pysden

Born and raised in Brisbane, Ella pursued a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University guided by Associate Professor and Head of Strings, Michele Walsh. During her studies, she was awarded the Vada Jeffries prize and was a recipient of the Jani Haenke Endowment.

A passionate orchestral musician, she has performed with the Queensland Youth Symphony, the Australian Youth Orchestra – including the dynamic Momentum Ensemble – and the Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra. In 2023, she toured internationally with the Queensland Youth Symphony to Singapore, Austria and Germany.

Ella also holds a special place in our story as the first graduate of the QSO Academy to earn a permanent position in the Orchestra, a remarkable achievement that marks a new chapter for both Ella and the Academy.
