Symphony Under the Stars - Townsville

Queensland Symphony Orchestra returns to Townsville for a magical night of music
Queensland Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to return to Townsville as part of The North Australian Festival of Arts (NAFA), bringing another unforgettable Symphony Under the Stars concert to the city. After a spectacular performance last year, we’re back and ready to fill the night sky with the unforgettable sounds of live orchestral music in this free community event.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Jezzine Barracks, this open-air concert will take you on a musical journey with a program of orchestral favourites. From the exhilarating In the Hall of the Mountain King from Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No.1 to the delicate grace of Maurice Ravel’s Pavane for a Dead Princess, every piece is sure to enchant.
Plus, we’ll celebrate Australia’s rich musical landscape with Chloé Charody’s My Australia, a vibrant tribute to the spirit and beauty of our very beloved country.
Gather your family and friends and experience the thrill of live orchestral music under the stars. Don’t miss this spectacular night with Queensland Symphony Orchestra at NAFA!
There is so much on offer during The North Australian Festival of Arts, you can check it all out via the NAFA Website.
