Queensland Symphony Orchestra Studio

10.00am & 11.30am concerts – recommended for Prep-Year 6

Join QSO for Prokofiev’s classic musical tale, the perfect introduction to the sounds of the symphony.

Each character is represented in music by a different instrument in this charming story of a courageous young boy who sets out to catch a wolf: a bluebird is identified by a delicate tune in the flute, a cat by the slinky clarinet, a duck by the oboe, Peter’s grandfather by the bassoon, the wolf by the horns, and the hunters by percussion.

The perfect musical tour of the orchestra for young ears!

This performance of Peter and the Wolf is part of QSO's Connect program, offering schools the opportunity to experience live orchestral music, alongside tailored education and learning resource that is aligned with the Queensland curriculum.
