#Promotion Terms and Conditions

BY PARTICIPATING YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS. 1. Promoter details.

a. The Promoter is Queensland Symphony Orchestra, ABN: 97 094 916 444, located at 114 Grey Street, South Brisbane, QLD, 4101.

2. Eligibility.

a. This promotion is open to Australian Residents aged 18 and upwards.

Not open to employees (or their immediate families) of Queensland Symphony Orchestra, its agencies or anyone else professionally associated with this competition. b. Maximum one entry per person unless otherwise stated. Entries via agents or third parties or use of multiple identities and email addresses are not permitted. Use of automated entries or programs is prohibited and all such entries will be disqualified.

c. By entering the competition you are agreeing to opt-in to subscribe to the Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time after the competition ends using the unsubscribe link on Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s emails.

3. Promotional Period.

a. Entries to the promotion commence at 12:00am on Friday 26 June 2026. Entries close at 11:59PM on Friday 17 July 2026.

4. How to Enter.

a. Visit https://qso.com.au/the-music-of-video-games-competition, complete the required fields on the competition entry form and submit the form to enter. A confirmation message will be displayed once submitted to confirm entry has been received.  

b. Entries must be completed online by the closing date. The Promoter shall not be responsible for technical problems experienced by entrants accessing the promotional page.

5. Prizes

a. The prize is a double pass (two tickets) to the Friday evening performance of The Music of Video Games on 24 July 2026 at 7.30PM at the Concert Hall, QPAC. The prize is valued at $290 (AUD).

b. No cash or other alternative prizes are available, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control Queensland Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value. Prizes cannot be transferred or sold by winners. 

c. Queensland Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to request proof of identity or to verify eligibility conditions and to award any prize to the winner in person.

6. Winner Selection. 

a. The winner will be selected in a random draw to take place following Close Date & Time from all correct/valid entries received. The winner will be contacted via the email address provided in the entry form.

b. Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s decision to select any winner is final and we reserve the right not to correspond on any matter.

7. Prize Confirmation & Acceptance. 

If a. no response is received after we have made reasonable efforts to make contact within 48 hours or, b. a winner declines to accept the prize, Queensland Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and award the prize to a substitute winner chosen at the same time as the first name(s) are selected or judged to be a winner. Any prize which is returned or cannot be delivered will be used for another competition. Queensland Symphony Orchestra holds no responsibility to anyone who has not responded.

8. Personal Information. 

a. By entering you are providing your information to Queensland Symphony Orchestra or its agents unless otherwise specified.

b. Your data will be handled in accordance with Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s privacy policy.

c. By entering the competition you consent to opt-in to Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s mailing list. We may use the personal information that we hold about you, including your contact details, to provide you with information about activities, events and products that may be of interest to you, or to seek donations or support for our activities. You may opt out of receiving all or certain types of marketing information from us at any time by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link on our emails or contacting us directly at info@qso.com.au.

9. Queensland Symphony Orchestra Liability. 

a. For online entries: Queensland Symphony Orchestra cannot guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or secure access to its website and competition form and is not responsible for any disruption to the competition due to technical problems or otherwise due to events outside of its reasonable control. 

b. Queensland Symphony Orchestra has arranged this competition in good faith but, to the fullest extent allowed by law, accepts no responsibility for loss or damages as a result of anyone participating in the competition or any aspect of any prize awarded. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected. 

10. Cancellation or Disqualification. 

a. Queensland Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to disqualify late, misdirected, incomplete, corrupted, lost, illegible or invalid entries. 

b. Queensland Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the competition or extend or resume the entry period or disqualify any participant at any time without giving advance notice and will do so if it cannot be guaranteed that the competition can be carried out fairly or correctly for technical, legal or other reasons or if Queensland Symphony Orchestra suspects that any person has been manipulating entries or the results, or has provided false information or has acted unethically in any other way.

11. Email safety. 

In the event that Queensland Symphony Orchestra wishes to contact you in connection with your entry we will do so via an email ending in 'qso.com.au' or by phone with a follow up e-mail. Any email which appears to come from Queensland Symphony Orchestra using a different ending (e.g. hotmail.com, yahoo.com etc) should be treated with suspicion and forwarded to Marketing. DO NOT respond or act on any e-mail if you are not sure that it comes from Queensland Symphony Orchestra. If you are in any doubt please contact our Marketing team at marketing@qso.com.au

12. Publicity. 

By signing up to the mailing list to enter this competition, you agree that Queensland Symphony Orchestra may publish first name, surname initial of the winner.
