An opportunity for a Marketing Campaigns Manager is available at Queensland Symphony Orchestra. As the key point of responsibility for all owned and paid media marketing campaigns, this role is a driver of ticket sales, event attendance, QSO Revenue and growth of our live and online audiences. The role serves as an operational lead for the Director – Sales and Marketing and would suit a skilled marketer with a commercial mind, data driven approach and strong project management skills.
This role is also responsible for oversight and support of QSO’s social media strategy and implementation, and works closely with the Social Media Specialist (who reports to this role). Reporting on and optimizing campaigns is a regular and essential responsibility for this role in managing paid and owned media, as well as in support of social media strategy.
The Marketing Campaigns Manager sits within a department of Sales and Marketing professionals who collaborate closely on campaigns. This role reports to the Director – Sales and Marketing.

What you’ll do
Campaign planning, execution, reporting and optimisation:
Develop and deliver marketing campaigns (including paid media marketing campaigns) for all areas of QSO’s concert programs including season launch, single tickets and subscriber campaigns.
Develop and deliver marketing plans for all other activities that require marketing support (including but not limited to development appeals, regional tour and education concerts).
Continually optimise campaigns to deliver effective outcomes, ensure brand alignment and track campaign performance using analytics tools.
Report regularly on key metrics as outlined for the Director – Sales & Marketing, including return on investment, click-through rate, conversion and ticket sales.
Implement real-time campaign adjustments based on performance data.
Support QSO’s social media strategy, managing the QSO social media specialist.
Providing support as needed across owned media such as website content updates or eDM communication is a responsibility for roles across the Sales and Marketing team.
Budget management, project management, administration and reporting:
Manage campaign budgets and media spend to deliver maximum return.
Ensure accurate forecasting and post-campaign reconciliation.
Project manage production timelines.
Track outcomes and KPIs as agreed with the Director of Sales & Marketing across all content initiatives with regularly weekly, monthly and post campaign reporting.
Provide data, content and other information as required for QSO reporting needs to funding partners.
Support the SLT and Chief Executive Officer with planning and financial planning of programs, initiatives and strategies.
Internal and external stakeholder management:
Agency partners - Work with QSO’s agency partners to develop strategic integrated campaign plans across media as appropriate (including but not limited to digital, print, radio and out-of-home).
Box Office - Manage marketing complimentary ticket allocations and liaise with the box office team to open balconies and boxes as needed. Work with the box office team to apply special offers and promotions as required.
Performance and Event attendance – all of our team participate regularly in the marketing team roster to attend performances (which entails evening and weekend hours) and deliver front of house marketing plans. This includes supporting and briefing videographers/photographers on site.
Support the Director with planning and regular reporting.
About you
Proven experience in campaign management and performance marketing
High-level project management and organisation skills
Proficiency in digital marketing platforms (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads)
Experience in website management and marketing automation software (preferable Prospect2) platforms
Experience in social media management and social media management software
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication
Attention to detail and outcomes-focused mindset
In addition to the above criteria, experience with ticketed events, the cultural sector, managing statewide or local campaigns, project management and CRM softwares (QSO use Monday.com and Tessitura), or familiarity or interest in classical music will see skilled applicants in good stead.
