Queensland Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Ticketing Services Officer to join the Sales and Marketing team. This role works in a tight-knit, collaborative and friendly team with three other Ticketing Services Officers to support QSO patrons, reporting to the Ticketing Services Manager.
Queensland Symphony Orchestra provides ticketing services to more than 3,000 subscribers during peak periods, as well as single tickets for events performed outside of Queensland Performing Arts Centre. Our Ticketing Services Officers deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, as well as ensuring attention to detail on complex annual subscriptions.
The ticketing team work in our QSO offices and at our reception desk between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Friday. Weekend and evening work at our concerts in QPAC, and our home studio in the ABC building is shared across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process subscriber concert bookings and assist with the distribution of tickets, ticket exchanges, donations and general enquiries
- Process single tickets and group bookings for education and family concerts
- Data entry and account maintenance in the ticketing/CRM software program (Tessitura)
- Assist with allocation and printing of complimentary tickets for guests, supporters and staff
- Staff the performance ticket desk, including at off-site venues
- Attend to telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries from the general public, musicians and visiting artists
- Contract patrons by phone during subscription and single ticket sales campaigns, to advise of upcoming concerts, packages or discounted pricing and to process any resulting bookings
To succeed in this role you will require:
- High level of attention to detail
- Highly organised approach to day-to-day activities
- Strong collaboration skills for working with colleagues within the Orchestra and external stakeholders
- Confidence navigating IT software for day-to-day processes
- Customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Courteous, patient, pleasant and helpful manner with both internal and external customers
- Experience with payment processing, cash handling and reconciliation of takings
- Flexibility to work after hours and weekends at some concerts
- Experience in using Tessitura or another ticketing or CRM software is highly desirable
