Chinchilla Community in Concert
Presented by Australia Pacific LNG, operated by Origin Energy

A night of classical music in the heart of Chinchilla.
As the sun goes down, the Chinchilla Cultural Centre will come alive with the sound of music, as 13 musicians from Queensland Symphony Orchestra take the stage for a vibrant evening of orchestral favourites.
Joining the ensemble are talented local musicians from Chinchilla Christian College, Chinchilla State High School, Chinchilla Community Concert Band, and Chinchilla Community Jazz Band.
Feel the thrill of Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No. 5, the sultry drama of Bizet’s Habanera, and the wild energy of Saint-Saëns’ Danse Bacchanale - all performed live and up close in this special free community concert.
This concert is presented as part of the Chinchilla Miles Roma Tara Enrichment through Music (CMRT) Initiative, an innovative partnership with Australia Pacific LNG operated by Origin Energy. This initiative delivers quality music education and concert experiences to the students and community members of Chinchilla, Miles, Roma, and Tara.
2025 is the ninth occasion that QSO has toured under this initiative.
