Curtain Call: 2026 Young Instrumentalist Prize

On Saturday 2 May, talented musicians from across Queensland competed in the Final Recital for the 2026 Young Instrumentalist Prize at QSO Studio, showcasing just how bright the future of music really is.

The standard of the finalists was exceptionally high, making for a compelling and memorable concert from beginning to end.

We’re delighted to share that Kexin Li (St Peters Lutheran College) was awarded First Prize for her performance of the first movement of Symphonie Espagnole on violin.

A wonderful evening for all to experience the rising talent of young Queensland musicians.
