Queensland Symphony Orchestra Announces 2026 Regional Tour

Queensland Symphony Orchestra had the pleasure today of announcing their 2026 regional tour, with plans to visit Queensland communities across Charleville, Gladstone, Cairns and more.

Local members of select regions will have the opportunity to participate in a range of activities including community concerts, education programs, workshops and wellbeing performances.

Returning for its 10th year, the Chinchilla, Miles, Roma and Tara tour (CMRT) will be hosting band camps, workshops and side-by-side performances for community musicians and students, schools concerts, “We’re Sharing the Joy” aged care performances, and free public concerts featuring the QSO Connect Ensemble.

Gladstone GEM Community in Concert returns with QSO’s 13-piece Connect Ensemble joining students from Gladstone for a vibrant, free community concert celebrating music, learning, and connection.

Moving from elegance and lyricism to rhythm and dance, the Charleville Community Concert promises an engaging and accessible performance. Presented as a dynamic string quintet, From Serenade to Tango explores music as a shared human experience – bringing people together across time, place and culture.

Crowd favourite Symphony Under the Stars returns to Gladstone and Cairns, giving local audiences the opportunity to hear world class musicians live on stage, where passion, power, and beauty glimmer under the night sky.

The Chinchilla Miles Roma Tara (CMRT) Enrichment through Music Initiative is an innovative partnership between Australia Pacific LNG operated by Origin Energy and Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
