Nick Smith
Nick recently graduated from the Queensland Academy of Excellence in Musical Theatre.
While studying, he performed the roles of Emmett Forrest in Legally Blonde (dir. Alister Smith), Bobby Strong in Urinetown (dir. Penny Farrow) and Captain MacHeath in The Threepenny Opera (dir. Penny Farrow). He also performed in productions of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (dir. Jason Klarwein), Cry Baby and 42nd Street. Nick is the recipient of a scholarship awarded by the Rekindle Foundation to aid his future professional development.
This year, in addition to his studies, Nick performed at the Brisbane City Hall with Epiphany Productions and at the new Brisbane Star Casino. He has also been selected to be a guest soloist in QPAC’s Spirit of Christmas concerts at the end of the year.
Nick is very excited to perform the role of Sneezy the Reindeer in the Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s Symphonic Santa. These opportunities mark the very beginning of Nick’s professional career.
