Samuel Nock

A vibrant double bassist, Samuel Nock expresses his passion for music through his engaging performances on the concert stage and in the theatre pit.

Originally from Brisbane, he completed his Bachelors of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and has performed as a casual section double bassist with Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra.

Samuel moved to Melbourne to study a Master of Music in Orchestral Performance at the University of Melbourne, a degree in collaboration with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. After these studies he has enjoyed regularly playing as a casual section double bassist with Orchestra Victoria and freelancing across Melbourne.

Samuel is looking forward to returning home to be a part of the new Academy program with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra!
